Gladiator Premier Cabinet Line Quality Rating 2 - The Gladiator line is a low-end, thin-wall metal cabinet line and has the lowest
overall quality than the other cabinets listed above. Gladiator cabinets were only included in the comparison because many
customers have seen the cabinets at big box retailers and they provide a baseline for comparing other cabinet brands. The door and
drawer panels have a diamond plate finish. Storage and wall cabinets require special bracket to wall mount and cabinet backs do not
fit flush against the wall. Overall, the Premier cabinet sizes do not integrate well into a cabinet system. The storage cabinet is small
and utilizes precious wall space poorly. As discussed in the FAQ section, we feel that rollers on cabinets is not the best choice for
most individuals. Drawer slides ratings, hinges, shelf capacities, and metal thickness rate the Premier Line as light to medium duty.
Geneva Garage Gear Quality Rating 3 - With the exception of the cabinet color, the Geneva cabinet size and selection is nearly
identical to the Premier Line and all of the comments above apply equally to Geneva cabinets. Geneva uses thicker steel and is a
slightly better quality cabinet than Gladiator. Units are rated for medium duty use.
Baldhead Limited Line Quality Rating 6 - Baldhead makes an excellent cabinet with a very nice fit and finish. Baldhead cabinets
use high quality hardware and are constructed with double wall side and door panels. The only negative comments on the Baldhead
line is the high cost, only one storage cabinet size, and handles are powder coated - not aluminum. Baldhead cabinets are rated
heavy duty.
New Age Cabinets Quality Rating 4 - New Age is a solidly constructed, welded, heavy duty imported cabinet line. A couple of
negative features are; storage and base cabinets do not wall mount; handles are powder coated - not aluminum; and the door panels
use piano style hinges. The pin on this style of hinge will eventually rust and cause corrosion around the hinge area and this style of
hinge does not allow subsequent adjustment or re-alignment of door panels. Drawers have full extension slides.
Saber Cabinet Line Quality Rating 5 - With the new upgrades to the 2012 line Saber Cabinets are pretty much on par with the
Baldhead line. The main difference is that all Saber units except the 4 and 6 Drawer Base Cabinets require assembly. Saber
Cabinets have double wall side panels, reinforced door panels, and all cabinets are wall mount ready. Saber Cabinets offers the most
choices of large storage cabinets. With full extension drawer slides, 4 slides on the large drawers, euro-style hinges, 19 gauge steel
thickness, and reinforced shelving/door panels Saber Cabinets are rated heavy duty.
